Okay, let’s get the awkwardness out of the way…..this sequin blazer is sold out. I am heartbroken, but what can I say, that anthro tag sale is LIT. Now let’s get on to what we’re really here about, starting a movement to where full sequins are acceptable to wear anytime.

I don’t even think I need to state the obvious, but I will. This jacket is EVERYTHINGGGGGG. Ya’ll it is ridiculous and can be changed from multi-colored to silver so it is basically two jackets in one. When I saw it at Anthropologie I knew it had to be mine. Here’s the story……luckily Santa [aka mom] was with me the day I saw it and we made a little last minute purchase. Then after Christmas, the glory that is the Tag Sale happened, so Santa took her receipt down to our local anthro and got that #PriceAdjustment.
I had every intention of making this my NYE look until Atlanta decided to be the coldest NYE like EVER and I decided it was not the most practical, since you cannot cover the sequins y’all. So I can’t lie, after not wearing it, I seriously debated taking it back because who really needs a sequin blazer in their closet? I mean, there are so many other things I could spend the money on…right??
WRONG, who says you can’t wear sequins anytime?! Let’s make this a thing y’all. I can’t lie, when I was shooting this look last weekend, I felt SO GOOD. Like fancy and free and super fun. Who doesn’t want to feel like that??
Places you can wear sequins besides NYE:
- Mardi Gras
- Birthdays [this will be me this year I think, my 29th is next month!]
- Bachelorette party [rock it over your LBD if you’re a bridesmaid + work it]
- Brunch [Swap out your heels for a cute pair of tennies]
Let’s make this a movement y’all.
