Happy Friday! Although this week was a short one, it was jam-packed with lots of fun things! The first week on the job, or lets be real, the first couple weeks are full of not really knowing what you’re doing, asking tons of questions & soaking up every phone call, email & bit of information anyone will give you. While this might stress some people out, the unknown, I happen to love it & feel like I thrive in those kind of situations. Sure, my new work is vastly different from my previous job, but you better believe I’m going to tackle it head on & #crushit!
Now, on to the more fun things…like this outfit! I’ve been reading lots of articles this week about The Hills turning 10 (it is literally all over my Facebook y’all), almost like everyone knows I own the first two seasons or something. One of the articles I read was breaking down the fashion choices of the early 2000’s, & one got me all nostalgic. The infamous “going-out top.” Y’all remember when there was a section of your closet strictly full of these kind of tops, ready for a bar-hopping night, preferably silk, halter neckline & in a vast array of colors. So, so bad. I am beyond jealous of the girls these days, have you seen how COOL the prom dresses are nowadays. But that’s a whole other story.
This off the shoulder top is my 2016 version of the “going-out top.” Although, I would rock this number any time of day. Paired with these blue statement earrings (see similar here) and my absolute favorite nude heels for summer, y’all will be seeing this top too much…sorry ’bout it.
