This is one of the happiest weeks of the year for me you guys. It is St. Patrick’s Day week and I could not be more excited!!!! You may be wondering, why in the world are you so ecstatic for some holiday where you have to wear green?!
Well, for those of y’all that don’t know, I am from Savannah, which is home of the 2nd or 3rd (not sure) largest St. Patty’s Day parade in the country!!! YAS! Little old Savannah GA knows how to throw down for the Irish! It is also a really important holiday for my family, my grandfather on my dad’s side was the grand marshall of the parade 20+ years ago and he also wrote a book on the importance of St. Patrick’s Day. How cool is that?! I have never been to any other parade, but we have the traditional floats, bands, firefighters/police officers marching etc. that most parades have, but we also have some of the Irish families in the community walk with their own banners to celebrate! My family is one of them, so that is pretty cool too! Needless to say, this time of year, it is all about the wearing of the green!

I will say, finding the perfect outfit for St. Patrick’s Day is definitely the ultimate struggle. You can’t be caught in the same look as someone else y’all. Not when you see everyone you ever went to grade school, high school and their mothers on that day!
I love to go out of the box and find something unique, like this top! And I should take the time to say, before she yells at me via text, that my sister is the one who found this top for me to wear! So thanks girl. I promise it shows up more green in person, the stripes wash out a little on film! But don’t you worry, I will be dripping in green beads so no one can pinch me! A little fun fact, the only color off limits on March 17th is orange! It is taboo y’all. Although I will be switching out these wedges for a cute slide on sneaker for the amount of walking I will be doing. Plus, a pink lipstick will most likely be making an appearance, since running out into the parade to decorate the men marching with smooches on their cheeks is a tradition! So fun!
