Spring & summer are my absolute favorite times of the year. Tan lines, BBQs, outdoor festivals & loads of sunshine are what make me so happy (I vow to go to at least one festival this summer…ATL has them all the time & I will take advantage dang it! – Anyone who wants to tag along…holler at ya girl!). Of course, I love the fashion too. I absolutely hate layering on giant coats in the winter, which is one of the many reasons I could never live up north….snow is pretty & all but I’m over it in like five minutes.

Since we are fast approaching tank top days, I do struggle with one thing while trying to decide what to wear. No matter where I go, there is a 99.9% chance I will eventually be completely freezing. I get cold at the drop of a hat, for example, I have a fleece blanket wrapped around my body at this very moment & it is like 75 degrees in my house. I usually keep at least one layering cardigan in the trunk of my car, just in case.

Enter the summer sweater. I’m obsessed with bright white this time of year, not just because it looks better with a tan & a bold red lip pops like no other, or maybe that’s exactly why I love it. Summer sweaters tend to be lighter weight or at least holey so you don’t get too hot. They are also perfect for layering. I wore this one recently to the movies over a stripe tank, since I knew I would get chilly in the movie theater, it was utter perfection.

How do y’all tackle summer layering issues?

BTW, Cayman is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been. Of course, my week has been jam packed with meetings, dinners & work but don’t you worry…I’ve been able to sneak in a little bit of beach time as well as some shopping at Camana Bay (can’t wait to show y’all the GORG coverup I got!). Follow along on Instagram (@stylehuntblog) & Snapchat (efog24) for more details of my trip! Do I really have to go home tomorrow?!

Yes this can be a challenge, though here in NY once the heat really starts there is no need for layering. You look super cute in this look : )
