Temperatures in Atlanta are reaching the 80s the week & this southern gal could not be more excited! In celebration of the warmer weather, I am counting down the days till summer & making one of my most favorite summer cocktails, a moscow mule. I’ve teamed up with Dixie Vodka to share their take on the classic mule. I’ve changed it just a smudge (I’m more of a lime fan than lemon — you’ll see what I mean in the recipe), but let me tell you, adding mint flavored vodka could not be more refreshing!
Dixie Vodka’s “Beauregard’s Buck”
1.5 oz Dixie plain vodka
0.5 oz. Dixie mint vodka
0.5 oz. lemon juice (I substituted for lime juice)
4-6 oz. ginger beer
Add lemon (or lime) juice to the copper mug. Add a couple cubes of ice & pour both vodkas in. Last, add in ginger beer & stir. (You can even add an adorable stirrer ike I did, using the most adorable monogramed stirrers from Sequins & Lipstick)
I mean, does that not scream summer?! I’m thinking of starting a summer cocktail series, because who wouldn’t love to sip drinks on the clock right?! Would that be something y’all would be interested in? It probs won’t happen until June, so this is just a preview post! I think it sounds pretty delish!
