I can’t believe I’m saying this but Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK! The fact that 2015 is rapidly coming to an end is something I am not happy with. I am beyond excited to have a little time off to have family time, and see some of my long lost friends at home. But, while my travel plans are not as extensive as some this holiday season, my travel wear is still crucial. If you missed this weeks post about travel, I shared this super adorable travel set from Vera Bradley.

There is nothing chic-er than buffalo check. Ok so maybe you think of a lumberjack, which does not scream fashion forward and amazing, but this set is nothing short of fabulous! I love a good plaid, and why have boring a travel set when you can have this number!?

As far as the outfit of choice for your flight, drive or whatevs, you can’t go wrong with a graphic tee and comfy oversized cardigan. One good rule of thumb when deciding what to pack as well as what to wear on travel day, is to wear your heaviest or bulkiest pieces. So that you have room in your suitcase for more clothes…or your black friday deals you’re obviously going to score!

Here are some other super cute oversized cardigans — and y’all….none of them are over $30!

CommentI love Vera Bradley products and ordered this because I like the pattern. However, there are no pockets on the inside and the straps are extremely thin. I’m afraid that they will shred over time with use, so I’m setting the bag aside to only use occasionally. The bag is not very large, but is okay for a short trip in the car to hold knitting,a magazine or paperback. I like the pattern but the bag seems a bit flimsy.

I was drawn to the patten too! I usually just use that bigger seatbelt looking strap for more support, and I agree it’s great for a smaller trip. The perfect overnight bag for me! It definitely helped thanksgiving weekend for all my shoes, accessories and hair products! Ha! Thanks for the feedback Shirley!!
